Court of Protection

Applications to the Court of Protection

An application to the Court of Protection for a Deputyship Order may be necessary to deal with the affairs of a friend or relative who is no longer able to make their own decisions about the management of their own affairs. This will be needed if the person did not make a Power of Attorney when they had capacity.

Applying for such an Order can be complex and lengthy. It is therefore advisable that you seek legal advice.

At Ferguson Rose Solicitors we will talk to you and explain the application process to you. We will work with you to secure a Deputyship Order to deal with the affairs of your loved one who now lacks capacity.
